Samar is a Houston native and Memorial High School alum. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, where she is received her degree in English. Samar is our Social Media Coordinator. When she is not working, you can find her spending time with her cat, reading classical literature, traveling the world, or taking nature photography.

Vanuli is an undergraduate student at Rice University, where she is majoring in Neuroscience on the pre-med track. She enjoys working with kids whether it be teaching at summer camps or tutoring. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her dog. She is happy to be apart of the Kscholastic team both behind the scenes, and as a tutor!

Karla Machado is the founder and owner of Kscholastic Inc. She is a former Spanish teacher and has been in the Education industry since 2007. Karla also tutors Spanish virtually. In her spare time she loves to travel, check out new restaurants, and spend time with her fiancé, 2 cats, and dog.

Maddy has 9 years of experience teaching string instruments in Houston in the classroom and privately. She has also taught workshops for music students at the Superior String Alliance strings camp in Marquette, MI for 8 years. In addition to music she has a passion for language education, which lead her to teach English in France in the 2019-2020 school year. She is very happy be a part of the Kscholastic admin team!

Judy graduated from the University of Houston, where she met her husband. Before kids, she taught Spanish and French at St. Thomas High School. She now stays at home and enjoys volunteering at her children's schools, her parish, and Meals on Wheels. Judy also enjoys reading and live music (she's known as the concert queen)! Judy is an administrative assistant with Kscholastic. 

Clara is a student of Rice University majoring in Statistics and Cognitive Science with a minor in Business. She currently works as a research assistant at the BioScience Research Collaborative in the Texas Medical Center in Houston. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and playing badminton.
